An earlier silk-twill edition of Saffron-Clustered Skies, this piece comes from the materia puera archive and was created for an earlier campaign. It is not part of our current production run and is available only in very limited quantity in this particular 14-momme (luxury weight) silk fabrication.

If desired, for added hold in headscarf styles, a cotton or jersey undercap can be worn. If desired for even more grip and stability, the scarf can additionally be secured at the nape of the neck with a pin or magnet as opposed to under the chin.

Produced on premium silk twill, silk is one of the strongest natural textiles available—surpassing even wool in tensile strength—making it as durable as it is beautiful.

The fabric offers an elegant balance of durability, drape, and everyday wearability. Silk is commonly produced in weights ranging from approximately 8 momme for very lightweight fabrics through 10, 12, 14, 16, and higher.

Care

• Reactive inks are permanent.

• Due to some residual ink from the print process, for the first washing, wash alone using a full-load setting in cold water. Add a mild detergent, 1 cup vinegar, and 2 tsp salt.

• For future washes, machine wash in cold water with a phosphate-free detergent. Add a mild fabric softener to enhance softness and drape.

• Machine dry on low heat or hang to dry.

• Iron on the silk/delicate setting with low steam.

• Expect approximately 1% shrinkage in width and length.
